Donald was quick to point out that elements of the film, including Gracie's co-workers speaking dismissively of her and imagining what she would look like in skimpy clothing, would probably not remain in the film if it were made today. "Absolutely, I think it would change," he said of certain scenes. "It was 20 years ago, long before #MeToo and much change in attitude toward the glass ceiling. A lot of it would stay the same, but you would definitely have to address certain pieces in order to bring it into today's zeitgeist."

The prince said he came from an asteroid where he lived alone, with only a rose for company. He tended the rose and grew to love her. She was as vain as she was beautiful, and she delighted in tormenting him. So he left her and went on a journey around the universe, visiting various planets where he encountered on each one, a narrow-minded adult, with an absurd mission in life.

And now here we are, living out our own absurd mission to help save lives while quarantined on our own tiny asteroids, isolated, cut off from our families and friends with doomsday promises of illness and death hanging over our heads if we dare step outside the safety of home. We shiver in fear when we encounter other humans on our walks or during our hurried, furtive trips, sometimes before dawn, to beat the crowds and gather our meager supplies from the nearly empty shelves at our local grocers.

So she gathered her things and started searching for a place that seemed safe. She chose a parking deck next to a spa at a nearby hotel. With no experience in dealing with ballistic missiles, she reasoned the destruction could be like a tornado.

A hotel employee came out and saw her hunkered down in the parking deck and asked her what she was doing there. After Maureen explained she thought she was in a safe place should a missile strike happen, the worker left and came back about 20 minutes later to tell her it was a false alarm. A few minutes after that, she received another text message cancelling the alert.

After Waters learned about the permit application, he started digging into the story, spending hours sifting through minutes of county commission and city council meetings, but finding nothing that would indicate the county was complicit with the coal ash agreements.

Running on roads is just rote exercise. A procedure defined by simple equations of stride length and cadence, of VO2 Max and glycogen consumption. But running a single track trail as fast as you can is something else entirely: Intense focus on every root and rock, trying to maintain momentum around the next switchback, through the stretch of ankle deep mud, down and up a gully and then lifting your shoulder just in time to barely miss that tree. There are no thoughts of mortgages or dentist appointments or what the hell you are going to do with your life. Only thoughts of how many steps to take before you jump that log.

This led to a lot of impromptu comical scenes like Gracie tripping on her bedsheets after coming home from a mission. Fans would also recall the scene where Gracie falls headfirst after being called for the final round of the competition.
