Buy Kinect Separately Xbox One
However, if you want an Xbox 360 to go with your Kinect, and you buy (or havealready bought) a Kinect as part of an all-in-one-box bundle with an Xbox360 (forexample, this product from Amazon UK) you will not have the USB connector. Youwill have to buy that separately:this item for the USA, this one for the UK (although places like Amazon do sell equivalent unofficial cables much cheaper -- shop around).
buy kinect separately xbox one
At the time of writing, in the UK, an Xbox 360 250GB+Kinect costs 240 pounds,an Xbox 360 on its own costs 160, the Kinect on its own costs 105 and thecable from Microsoft costs 23 pounds. So total cost to buy the bundle andcable to connect it to the PC is 240+23=263, while buying the Xbox and Kinectseparately is 160+105=265. In the USA, the figures are 400+35=435 dollars forthe bundle and cable, and 300+140=440 dollars for separately. So at the moment, youmay as well buy them separately if you want PC connectivity too (it's easierto get two items from one shop than order the cable separately fromMicrosoft); check the prices (in your own country!) when you come to buy.
Unlike the original Xbox One, the Xbox One S can be positioned vertically as well as horizontally; the vertical stand is bundled with the Launch 2TB Edition, or sold separately for $20. The Xbox One S has a physical power button instead of the touch sensitive control of the original Xbox One, and some of the Xbox One's back panel components have moved to the front face of the Xbox One S - the device pairing button and a single USB slot. It's also "robot white" rather than dark and brooding.
The Xbox One S is not compatible with Kinect out of the box; you'll need an adapter. The situation with the adapter is a bit of a strange one: you'll need access to the serial number from your Xbox One S, your original Xbox One, and your Kinect. If you have those three, Microsoft will kindly send you the adapter free-of-charge. If you don't, you can buy the adapter separately.
